Insane.  Seems I'm in an artsy mood today.  :B

OM NOOOOOOM.  Who DOESN'T wanna bite Eames's lip?  For srs.

I'm actually pleased with the colour on this one.  I like messy colours. <3  I prefer Arthur mentally topping and Eames physically topping.
I think way too much about these things.  8'D  In case this gets TOS'd by lame PB, here's a link to it on Y!gallery

I did draw another one but my scanner killed it and I don't feel like scanning it again right now.  Possibly tomorrow.

FUCK ME I'M OUT OF PAGES IN MY SKETCHBOOK.  I've had it since TDK fandom, so as far as sketchbooks go it lasted a pretty decent amount of time.  I've been way more into digital art than traditional over the past few years, so that explains it.  But guuuuh, now I need more paper.  Ffff.  Gonna beg daddy when he gets home.  8'D

This is gorgeous. I love both, but the second one is just amazing. I love the way you did the anatomy and the hands! Ungh. Fantastic job. What type of medium do you use? It almost looks like pastel in parts.

<33 Awww thank you so much! :'>

These were both drawn in pencil, scanned, and then the contrast was upped in photoshop to make the lines darker, and then coloured in OpenCanvas with the waterbrush tool. <3 I love the waterbrush omg. The sketchbook paper is a bit textured, I think that might be why it looks pastelish.

You're very welcome!

Ooh. I've actually never really tried using a computer to color. Lol. No matter how it was done, the coloring is beautiful.

I looove digital colouring. I absolutely cannot colour things for shit traditionally, but give me access to my tablet and I might have a chance. XD

I'm afraid to even try coloring on the computer. Five years of art class taught me the three P's: pastels, prismas, and paints. Lol. Ooh, you have a tablet? I've been wanting to get one but no one I know has one so I'm not sure if they're useful or gadgets.

I totally adore my tablet. I have a normal tablet, a wacom graphire 4, which I loved to bits, and my laptop is a tablet that like twists around and folds over to be drawn on, that's what I use now for the most part. If you enjoy art, I feel like it's definitely worth checking it out, at least to play around with one. They're fun as hell.

Hahahaha I fail so hard at traditional art, my hands shake like a mofo so anything permanent like paint just doesn't agree with me. 8C Maybe a picture has been ruined by my Parkinson's hands. =/

Ooh! I think I know what you're talking about. I saw an HP one like that at Best Buy. I almost got it but then I was notified that my current laptop was in fact, revived. ::shrug:: I'll definitely look into one though.

Aw. My hands are pretty steady but I can't get my wrist to rotate with the proper "flare" according to my college professor last semester. I didn't know there was a proper flare, but whatever. The thing that ruins my pictures is I'm so detail orientated. I'll draw every vine leaf. I do patterns on the wall paper. In high school we would need to sketch out our piece in our sketchbooks before we could go on to one of the three P's. It took me as long to sketch it as it did for me to finish the piece. ::sigh::

Fff I hate when art teachers say "proper"... I mean I understand that there are techniques, but everyone does things in his or her own way. D:>

Yeeeeah I am... Not that detail oriented. I'm all about people, so usually they're the part of the picture I spend the most time on... Everything else is just kinda there. XD that was my failing in art classes, with the exception of Figure Drawing. I had the same teacher for Basic Drawing and Figure Drawing and the look on his face at my stuff for Figure Drawing was so funny. He was like 0_____o wut. Unfortunately now that I want to be able to draw actual backgrounds and stuff in my pictures I have no idea how to do it properly because I blew that part off in school and don't have the drive to draw endless rooms and random everyday objects. 8'C SHOT MYSELF IN THE FOOT THERE, FML.

I know. Hence why I failed art. Oops. >.>

Lol. I'm insanely detail orientated on the people too. It's ridiculous. I haven't had the same art teacher in college, but for high school I had the same one for three years. She got to know my, uh, quirks very well. When we had to do figure drawing and we did gesture drawing? Yeah, I totally failed that part. "What do you mean I only have a minute to draw the body?!?! The MOVING body!!!"

Oh my gooood gesture drawing is pretty much my absolute favourite way to do traditional art. I am SO, SO, SO in love with it. <333 In my one class we did 6ft tall gesture drawings in ink... WITH PADDLES. That was the best class ever, so much fun. I still have ink droplets on my converse from that class, I wear them with pride.

But I definitely was really frustrated with it at first because omfg no control over anything at all D8>

Haha. We didn't do it that big. Not in HS anyway. In my college one we did fairly big ones but never in ink. Just charcoal. My jacket sleeve is still covered in charcoal (I don't understand why it doesn't wash out!) and the elbow is covered in black paint. Lol.

I got better at it in college. Got the gesture done, then went in to fill in the details if I had time....
