This one is fanart for knowmydark 's fic "Burn My Bridges", which is pretty much stupidly amazing and angsty and perfect and everyone needs to go read it asap.
User sashyasavvy referenced to your post from No title (http://community.livejournal.com/eames_arthur/247367.html) saying: [...] Link to my journal [...]
LOL that seems to be the general consensus about that fic. So emotionally moving. I LOVE IT. It's tied with "Riding in Cars with Eames" as my favourite fic in the A/E fandom right now.
I seriously have. My hormones are crazy this week, and that's always when my art comes out the most easily for some reason.
<3 Thank you! Oh man that fic is so heartbreaking, but that's my favourite type of fic. And like.. This fandom is full of character death, but it's rarely permanent death so a fic that does actual death of one or both of them really well is just... Guh. I love it.
PMSING MAKES YOU DRAW? IT JUST MAKES ME MOODY. /stabs artblock
Yeah, I had a hard time reading through it, just knowing it would end bad. =[ I love that kind of fic, but it alwas makes me feel depressed afterwards, lol. (Which really is no good, since I'm.. uh yeah.)
It really, really does. Most months. I'm EXTREMELY moody, but I think that's probably what does it. Extreme emotions have to escape somehow and it ends up being art a lot of the time. XD
Ohhh man, I totally feel you. I'm a pretty depressed person myself, I really don't need sad things to get me down but... I love sad fic. Maybe because I can relate better than to really happy fic? Lol I dunno, beats the hell out of me.
I love that fic so much. It's so sad and depressing.
But to your art: Arthur's face is great, the emotion you capture IN PROFILE. ::jealous:: I love his slightly-rumpled shirt too. And his hand on the file/paper. The way you did the papers actually, is quite lovely. And Eames! The lines of him leaning into Arthur and his bent knee. What I really like though it the coloring. It's so dark/muted. It's gorgeous.
:'> Awww thank you! Profiles were once the bane of my existence, but now I kind of like doing them. Haha and I loooove drawing rumpled shirts. <3 I don't know why, there's something about them that's just really fun.
<3 I'm glad you like the colours! Haha I was worried that I made it TOO muted. But I'm glad it works. :>
It really is. I had to go back and reread after seeing your art for it.
They are still the bane of my existence. Actually, no, full faces are. My eyes never end up level. This is why I prefer to show people from the back (hair is so much more appealing...lol). My friend just leaves the faces blank. O.o Rumpled shirts are amazing. There's so many reasons they can get rumpled too.
I don't think it's too muted. It adds to the atmosphere.
Ffff no secrets! Lol it frustrates me when artists don't share their techniques, it's like... Oh come on, it's not like anyone will think you're any less amazing after finding out how you do stuff. 8C
