The brushes I used for the souls are from http://gloria-gypsy-designs.deviantart.com/art/Vintage-Witch-Brush-Pack-125035929 , I'm not sure where she got them from. I love them so much, they're a lot of fun to play with.

Oooh nice! I'd love to experiment with brushes but I'm such a photoshop dilettante, I just get frustrated. I rather look at other people's great fanart instead :)
